The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has raised serious concerns after violent attacks took place in two villages in the occupied West Bank. These villages, Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya and Qusra, are located south of Nablus. According to reports, dozens of Israeli settlers entered these areas before dawn and carried out attacks on local residents.
During the incidents, homes and vehicles were set on fire. The attacks caused fear and damage across the villages. At least 10 Palestinians were injured during these events. The destruction of property and the injuries have added to the growing tension in the region.
Officials described these actions as “terrorist attacks by settlers.” They strongly condemned what happened and called for global attention. The ministry stated that such acts are not random but are repeated and organized.
These attacks are being seen as part of a larger pattern of violence in the West Bank. Local sources say that similar incidents have been happening more frequently, especially in areas close to Israeli settlements.
Palestine Demands Immediate International Action
Following the attacks, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called for urgent steps from the international community. It said that simple statements of concern are no longer enough. Instead, it demanded clear and strong actions.

One of the main demands is the imposition of sanctions on Israeli settlers involved in such attacks. The ministry also called for sanctions on the wider settlement system. It believes that these settlements play a major role in increasing violence and tension.
In addition, the ministry asked for certain settler groups to be listed as terrorist organizations. This step, it said, would help in holding those responsible accountable for their actions.
The ministry also stressed the importance of using international legal systems. It called for investigations and prosecutions against those behind the attacks. According to the statement, failure to act will only encourage more violence.
Officials warned that if no real action is taken, such incidents could continue. They said this would make the situation worse and reduce the chances of peace in the region.

Rising Tensions and Ongoing Conflict in the Region
The recent attacks come during a time of increased tension in the West Bank. Since the start of the Gaza conflict on October 8, 2023, there has been a rise in violence in the area. This includes killings, arrests, and displacement of Palestinian communities.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, there were 4,723 attacks carried out by Israeli settlers across the West Bank in 2025 alone. These attacks resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians. They also led to the displacement of 13 Bedouin communities, affecting around 1,090 people.
Palestinians believe that these actions are part of a larger plan. They say it is aimed at expanding settlements and forcing people off their land. Many see this as an effort to change the situation on the ground and move toward annexation of the territory.
The ministry also referred to international legal findings. In July 2024, the International Court of Justice issued an important opinion. It declared that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal. It also called for the removal of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Despite this ruling, settlement activities and related violence have continued. The latest attacks on villages near Nablus have once again brought global attention to the issue.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has made it clear that stronger international steps are needed. It insists that without real consequences, the cycle of violence will continue, putting more lives and communities at risk.
