The Indian AML Watchdog ED has investigated and also found that Rs. 5 Crore has been frozed of Amir Khan under the PMLA Act 2002. This amount was involved in the E-nuggets case. The investigation was connected to the Mobile Gaming Application, namely E-nuggets. The total amount frozed in this case is around Rs. 36.96 Crore.

Investigation of the E-nuggets case

The ED has investigated the E-nuggets case and have decided to froze the account balance of Rs 5.59 Crore of Aamir Khan. It was done under the Prevenetion of Money Laundeing Act 2002. All the investogation was related to the Mobile Gaming Application.

Procedure of the E-nuggets case

The Park Street Police Station, Kolkata Police has recorded theE-nuggets case  according to the FIR dated 15.2.2021. it was recorded under the different sections of IPC. The Federal Bank has initiated the complaint. The case was recorded on Amir Khan and other persons those who were involved.  .

The mobile Gaming Application was accelerated by Aamir Khan, S/o Nesar Ahmed Khan. The main motive of this was framed to defrauding the general public. It was observed that a large number of amount was collected from the public. But all of a sudden it showed that the withdrawals that took place from the App were stopped. The database that was collected was cleanse from the App server.

While investing the E-nuggets case,  it was disclosed that multiple amount of money was involved to launder the money. As per the information provided Rs. 5.59 crore was totally freezed.

Previously the investigation conducted according to the search operation that was conducted against Amir khan are as follows:

  • It was found that Rs 17.32 Crore Cash was found and froze according to the residential premises.
  • When ED investigated Binance Exchange in detail. It was observed that 85.91870554 Bitcoins equivalent to USD 1674255.7 (equivalent to Rs 13.56 Cr approx. as per market exchange rate) found in balance was totally freezed.
  • The different crypto currencies [WRX (utility token of WazirX) and USDT (Tether)] equivalent to Rs 47.64 Lakhs was freezed in “Wazir X Accounts”.

Conclusion of E-nuggets case

Therefore, as per the the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002, the investigation took place and it was found that Rs 36.96 Cr in total was freezed in the case.
