Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has slammed what it calls a “disinformation attack” involving fake claims that a Taiwanese company supplied parts for Russian bombs. The accusations center around a Taiwanese business named Taiwan Rung Cherng Suspenparts (TRC), alleged to have sold servomechanisms—important components for enhancing glide bombs—to Russia. MOFA has confirmed that this report is entirely false and strongly condemned the perpetrators of this misinformation.
On Wednesday, MOFA issued a statement urging the public to be cautious about such malicious lies. It emphasized the importance of distinguishing facts from fiction and warned against being deceived by false reports.
The controversy began earlier this week when the foreign ministry became aware of the accusations. It immediately took action by contacting its representative office in Poland and reaching out to Ukrainian authorities to investigate the matter. The findings revealed that the accusations were part of a scheme involving Chinese and Russian entities. These entities had allegedly forged TRC’s brand on their products to make it appear as though Taiwan was supplying bomb components to Russia.
A Complex Forgery Uncovered
The report accusing TRC turned out to be part of a calculated forgery scheme. Investigations showed that the real culprits were likely a Chinese company named KST Digital Technology Limited. This company allegedly devised an elaborate rebranding strategy to avoid sanctions. The plan involved falsely labeling their own products with TRC’s name and then passing them off through Russian and Chinese proxy companies.

This process, described as “double rebranding,” aimed to mislead international authorities into believing that the products originated from Taiwan. TRC has firmly denied any involvement. The company clarified that it does not manufacture the products in question and expressed its outrage at being falsely implicated. TRC has also suggested it may take legal action to protect its reputation and business interests.
