Much of what we do in our daily lives, both personally and professionally, happens online these days. We rely largely on the internet and digital platforms for ease in everything from banking to socializing to work-related duties. There are risks associated with this growing dependency, too.

Cybercriminals, hackers, and other mischievous people pose a serious threat to the online environment. These risks include identity theft, fraud, theft, hacking and embarrassment in public. The protection of our digital data has therefore taken priority.

Cyber security is the term used to describe the safeguards taken to keep data, networks, and devices connected to the Internet safe from illegal access and misuse. In addition, cyber security guarantees the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of data across its whole life cycle. Cyber security covers information on the Internet as well as technology and software. Everything is safe from sensitive personal data to complex government networks.
