The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) arrested Bhupendra Saran on 09.10.2023 in the Paper Leak case in Rajasthan under the terms of the PMLA, 2002. He was brought before the Hon’ble Special Court PMLA, Jaipur, and the Hon’ble Special Court granted him ED custody for three days.
The ED launched an inquiry based on FIRs/Charge sheets registered/filed by Rajasthan Police under various sections of the IPC against Bhupendra Saran and other associated individuals.
An ED investigation found that Bhupendra Saran, in collaboration with others, leaked the question paper for the General Knowledge of Senior Teacher Grade II Competitive Examination, 2022, which was scheduled to be held by RPSC on 21.12.2022, 22.12.2022, and 24.12.2022. Furthermore, Bhupendra Saran sent the aforementioned leaked papers to Suresh Dhaka and other individuals/candidates for a fee of Rs. 8 to 10 lakh per candidate.
On 05.06.2023, the ED conducted a search at 15 accused persons’ homes, resulting in the seizure of various incriminating documents and digital records. Furthermore, the ED has provisionally attached Bhupendra Saran and others’ movable and immovable properties worth Rs. 3,11,93,597.88/- via Provisional Attachment Order dated 18.08.2023. The ED has already detained two suspects, Babulal Katara and Anil Kumar Meena, also known as Sher Singh Meena. More research is being conducted.
